How does HeaterFleet match me with jobs?
Customers book online and pay a deposit for an exact upfront price. We match each job to a licensed, insured installer who serves that city. You get the job details, call the customer to schedule, do the install, and get paid through our payout system — no bidding, no lead fees.
What does it cost to join?
Applying is free and there are no monthly fees or lead charges. HeaterFleet earns its margin from the upfront price the customer already agreed to — your cut is set before you accept the job, so you always know exactly what a job pays.
What are the requirements?
You need an active plumbing license in your state, general liability insurance, your own tools and transportation, and a track record of clean water heater installs. We verify your license and insurance documents during review, typically 1–2 business days.
How and when do I get paid?
The customer pays in full before payout. Your cut releases per your payment terms — in full when the job is assigned, split between assignment and verified completion, or in full after completion is verified. Payouts go straight to your PayPal, or we queue them for manual payment.
Do I have to bid against other installers?
No. Each job is matched to one installer based on service area and availability. The price and your cut are fixed before you start — never a race to the bottom or wasted free estimates.
What happens after I apply?
We review your documents within 1–2 business days. Approved installers get portal login credentials and start receiving matched jobs immediately. If anything is missing, we'll tell you exactly what to fix.
Can I pause or leave?
Yes — no contracts, no minimums. Toggle availability off in your portal any time to pause matching, or contact us to close your account entirely. Completed jobs always pay out per your terms.
